FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within care homes and in their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through personalised care and support.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients with mobility and daily activities according to individual care plans
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
• Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as required
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Safely operate company vehicles for home visits where necessary, adhering to all driving regulations
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Work Schedule
Flexible shifts (mornings/afternoons/evenings) accommodating various full-time/part-time arrangements.
You Will Have
• Strong communication skills plus caring, empathetic nature essential for client interactions.
Requirements
• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between client locations
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans precisely
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic nature
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
