FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Nacro’s CAS-2 team seeks Housing Support Workers to support people leaving prison or living in the community under licence. This role is not personal care and focuses on housing support, safety planning and helping service users move toward independent, crime-free lives.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Assessing service user needs and creating safety plans.

• Supporting housing applications, Housing Benefit claims and rent payments.

• Managing property issues and ensuring homes meet the Decent Homes Standard.

• Working with probation, courts and housing authorities to improve outcomes.

Work Schedule

37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern, with hours between 08:00 and 22:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 17:00 Saturday.

You Will Have

• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach.

• Good organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Competent ICT skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

• Resilience, emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

• Enhanced DBS check, prison clearance and BPSS clearance required.

• Business-use insurance cover if using your own vehicle for work travel.
