Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. As a Support Worker, you will assist clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting their independence.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the relevant professionals.
Support clients in social activities and community engagement to enhance their quality of life.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and team members.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications.
