FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Autumn Years Friend Support Worker, you’ll provide evening companionship to a lovely lady in Staple Hill who enjoys game shows, crosswords, animals, and old movies helping with dinner preparation and friendly conversation creating warm meaningful connections rather than clinical care within person-centered agency emphasizing empathy, patience, and humour over formal qualifications for rewarding client relationships.
Your Responsibilities include:
- Provide dinner support + friendly evening conversation.
- Engage client interests: game shows, crosswords, animals, movies.
- Offer companionship creating comfortable friend-like visits.
- Support daily activities at relaxed unhurried pace.
Work Schedule
Fixed evenings: 6pm-7pm Sat, Sun, Tue, Wed, Thu.
Every weekend commitment required.
Bristol BS16 Staple Hill client home visits.
You Will Have
- Enjoy conversation + shared interests (games/movies/animals).
- Kind listening approach valuing client memories/stories.
- Flexible adapting to client preferences/pace.
- Reliable consistent attendance for relationship building.
Requirements
- Weekend evening availability (Sat/Sun 6-7pm essential).
- Genuine empathy, patience, + sense of humour.
- No formal qualifications or care experience needed.
- Comfortable in client homes providing friendship.
