FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for supporting individuals with their daily activities while promoting their independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in senior care, and the ability to lead and supervise junior staff.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment.
• Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their condition.
• Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care practices.
You will have
• Previous experience in a senior care role is essential, preferably within a care home environment.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising or mentoring staff members.
• Proficient IT skills for maintaining documentation and communicating effectively within the team.
• A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to elderly individuals is crucial.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team while also being able to work independently when required.
