FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Totus Care Ltd is a growing provider delivering high-quality, person-centred support. We are expanding our services supporting children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.
We are committed to safe, consistent, and outcome-focused care that promotes independence and wellbeing.
We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in supported accommodation and the community.
This is a hands-on role where you will make a real difference in young people’s lives.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Support young people with daily living skills (cooking, budgeting, routines, independence)
• Provide personal care where required
• Support with community activities and social engagement
• Manage and respond to behaviours that may challenge using positive approaches
• Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
• Accurately complete daily records, care notes, and incident reports
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with families and professionals
Work schedule
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
You will have
• Has experience working with children and young people (EBD, autism, complex needs)
• Is reliable, consistent, and professional
• Can work both independently and as part of a team
• Has strong communication and recording skills
• Is calm under pressure and able to manage challenging situations
• Is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Requirements
• Experience in health & social care (children’s services preferred)
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Willingness to complete training and development
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
• Experience in supported accommodation or residential care
• Full UK driving licence
• Working with children: 1 year (required)
