FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care home ensuring they receive respectful and personalised assistance. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while working within a supportive and professional environment. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a genuine desire to provide high-quality care.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility

• Support individuals in accordance with personalised care plans, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect

• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in condition

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery

• Support clients with medication reminders and light domestic tasks where appropriate

• Uphold health and safety standards at all times, adhering to organisational policies and procedures

Work schedule 

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided

• Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately

• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly

• Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation

• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, compassion, and professionalism

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also working independently when required
