FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Web Labs is a small, fully remote software company building and supporting web applications for clients across the UK. We value practical development skills, clear communication, and a supportive team environment where developers can grow their experience over time.

We are looking for a Junior C# / .NET Developer who is keen to develop their skills, work on real production systems, and learn from more experienced colleagues — including exposure to AI‑enabled features and integrations.

This role is well suited to a junior or early‑career developer who has commercial or placement experience and is looking to build confidence working on live systems.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Work on existing and new features in C# / .NET web applications
• Make small enhancements and bug fixes under guidance
• Learn to write clean, maintainable code following team standards
• Work with SQL databases and Entity Framework
• Help implement front‑end changes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Integrate with third‑party APIs, including AI‑based services
• Collaborate with the team using Teams in a fully remote environment
• You will not be expected to design system architecture, manage others, or lead projects.

You will have

• AI‑Related Exposure (Desirable)
• Interest in AI‑enabled functionality
• Curiosity about working with AI or automation APIs
• Willingness to learn how AI features can be integrated into web applications
• No prior AI experience is required — training and guidance will be provided.
• Exposure to ASP.NET Core
• Awareness of IIS or hosting concepts
• Interest in mobile or modern .NET technologies (e.g. MAUI)
• Interest in AI

Requirement

• Some commercial, placement, or strong personal project experience with C#
• Basic experience with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core
• Awareness of MVC‑style web applications
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with Entity Framework
• Front‑end basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery a plus)
• Familiarity with Git or source control
• Willingness to learn and take feedback
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently within a remote team environment.
