FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Web Labs is a small, fully remote software company building and supporting web applications for clients across the UK. We value practical development skills, clear communication, and a supportive team environment where developers can grow their experience over time.
We are looking for a Junior C# / .NET Developer who is keen to develop their skills, work on real production systems, and learn from more experienced colleagues — including exposure to AI‑enabled features and integrations.
This role is well suited to a junior or early‑career developer who has commercial or placement experience and is looking to build confidence working on live systems.
Your Responsibilities include:
- Work on existing and new features in C# / .NET web applications
- Make small enhancements and bug fixes under guidance
- Learn to write clean, maintainable code following team standards
- Work with SQL databases and Entity Framework
- Help implement front‑end changes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
- Integrate with third‑party APIs, including AI‑based services
- Collaborate with the team using Teams in a fully remote environment
- You will not be expected to design system architecture, manage others, or lead projects.

You will have
- AI‑Related Exposure (Desirable)
- Interest in AI‑enabled functionality
- Curiosity about working with AI or automation APIs
- Willingness to learn how AI features can be integrated into web applications
- No prior AI experience is required — training and guidance will be provided.
- Exposure to ASP.NET Core
- Awareness of IIS or hosting concepts
- Interest in mobile or modern .NET technologies (e.g. MAUI)
- Interest in AI
Requirement
- Some commercial, placement, or strong personal project experience with C#
- Basic experience with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core
- Awareness of MVC‑style web applications
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with Entity Framework
- Front‑end basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery a plus)
- Familiarity with Git or source control
- Willingness to learn and take feedback
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently within a remote team environment.
