Job Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll support residents in a care home to live with dignity, comfort and as much independence as possible. You’ll help coordinate day-to-day care, guide colleagues and communicate with residents, families and the wider care team.

Duties

● Provide compassionate personal care and support residents’ daily routines and wellbeing.

● Follow and contribute to individual care plans, sharing relevant changes with the care team.

● Support colleagues on shift, offering guidance and helping maintain consistent, respectful care.

● Communicate clearly with residents, families and colleagues, and keep accurate records using IT systems.

● Your impact: By helping colleagues follow care plans consistently, you support residents’ safety, comfort and continuity of care.

Qualifications

● Experience in senior care or a care home setting is useful.

● Supervising experience and leadership skills are desirable.

● Strong communication skills and confidence using IT are important.

● Driving ability may be useful for the role.

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
