Position: Support Worker

Salary:£13.21 an hour

Job Type: Full-time, Part time

Work location:Sheffield, Barnsley & Rotherham

Optimum Healthcare Ltd is looking for compassionate, reliable and flexible Community Care Support Workers to join our domiciliary care team.

You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, supporting them to remain safe, comfortable and independent within the community.

We are looking for full-time staff who can work flexibly, including mornings, evenings and weekends according to service needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care while maintaining dignity, privacy and independence.
• Support with daily living activities, mobility and wellbeing.
• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
• Support with medication in line with care plans, training and company procedures.
• Observe and report changes in a service user’s health or wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care notes and documentation.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control and health & safety procedures.
• Build positive and professional relationships with service users, families and colleagues.
• Support individuals to remain independent within their own homes and community.

Requirements

• Compassionate, reliable and committed to providing high-quality care.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability for mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Previous care/support work experience is desirable, but training can be provided.
• Enhanced DBS required – we can support the application process.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable for community-based work.
