Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 a year

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to be a part of our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence and innovation in cuisine.

The Role

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality Indian dishes with consistency and attention to detail
  • Work confidently across key kitchen sections, supporting smooth service
  • Provide leadership and support to junior kitchen staff during busy periods
  • Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards
  • Assist with prep planning, stock control, and kitchen organisation
  • Uphold a calm, professional approach in a fast-paced service environment

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a senior or experienced chef in an Indian kitchen
  • Strong understanding of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and flavours
  • Ability to work across multiple sections, including grill/tandoor where required
  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (required)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Sufficient spoken English for kitchen communication and food safety compliance
