Position:Retail Sales Assistant (Part-time)

Salary:£8.00 – £12.75 an hour

Job Types: Part-time

Location: Totnes TQ9 6NG

Due to some of our team members heading off to university, we are looking for friendly and reliable Sales Assistants to join our team.

We currently have permanent vacancies available on both Saturdays and Sundays. The ability to also work one weekday would be an advantage, although this is not essential.

You will be working with a team that offer knowledge and advice to customers in a busy equestrian retail environment. An understanding and interest in horses is necessary in order to offer professional customer service. As well as serving, you will be loading feed and bedding into customer vehicles, so you must be physically fit and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Skills:

– Excellent customer service skills

– Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge

– Self-motivated with strong time management

– Ability to listen carefully and respond to customer needs

– Equine experience/product knowledge

Job Roles:

– Assisting customers with purchases in store

– Loading feed and bedding into customer vehicles

– Operating of stock systems

– General shop duties including stock taking, order management and tidying

– Answering telephone enquiries

– Processing customer orders via telephone and email

Applicants must be over 16 years of age. Pay is dependent on age and experience.

Experience:

● equestrian: 2 years (required)
