Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Skilled-Worker and play a vital role in bringing building projects to life! This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing a wide range of skills to deliver high-quality results. As a key contributor, you will be involved in various phases of construction, from framing and finishing to installation and repairs, ensuring safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship at every step. This paid role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills while making tangible impacts on exciting projects. Responsibilities Perform carpentry tasks including framing, door and window installation, and cabinetry work with precision and attention to detail Conduct roofing activities such as shingle application, flashing installation, and waterproofing to ensure durable, weather-resistant structures Carry out construction painting to enhance aesthetics and protect surfaces from environmental damage Install plumbing systems, fixtures, and pipes following blueprints and safety standards Execute masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring for foundational elements Operate welding equipment for metal fabrication and structural repairs with safety compliance Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing various materials Assist in fabrication tasks by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials on-site or in the workshop to meet project specifications Experience Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, or general construction roles is highly desirable Familiarity with plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical systems or related trades is a strong advantage Hands-on experience using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills as well as power tools like grinders and nail guns Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings to accurately execute tasks Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites and equipment operation Strong problem-solving skills with an active approach to tackling diverse construction challenges Prior fabrication experience or certification is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential This role offers an engaging environment where your skills directly contribute to building structures that stand the test of time.
