Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Italian Chef to join our culinary team in delivering authentic Italian cuisine. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with leadership skills to showcase their expertise within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Duties

• Prepare and cook traditional Italian dishes with attention to authenticity and quality.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
• Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
• Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
• Lead team management activities, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in culinary roles specialising in Italian cuisine, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy kitchen efficiently.
• Experience in food production, team management, and restaurant operations.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
• A recognised culinary qualification is preferred but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience.
• Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
