Job Overview
PLEASE NOTE: We have no remaining sponsorships and are not able to offer transfer of sponsorship.
We are looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals to join our team supporting people in Plymouth, Saltash, Launceston and Par.
This role involves providing high-quality care to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting people with daily activities, medical needs, and emotional well-being, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised care. A valid driving licence is essential to facilitate client transportation and support services across different locations.
We require a female driver to support 2 people in Liskeard and Par. The shifts we have available are:
Monday: 09:00 – 15:00 every other week (Par)
Tuesday: 09:15-14:15 (Liskeard) 15:00 – 19:00 (Par)
Thursday: 10:15-14:15 (Liskeard) 15:00-19:00 (Par)
Sunday: 13:00 – 19:00 changing to 15:00 – 21:00 on alternate weeks (Par)
Sunday: 21:00-09:00 every other week (Par)
We require a female driver to support a young lady in Plymouth. She is a wheelchair goer with her own vehicle which the successful candidate must be willing to drive.
She requires support on:
Thursday: 12:00-17:00
Friday: 10:00-15:00
We require male drivers to support 2 males – one in Saltash the other in Launceston.
Monday: 11:00-17:00 (Saltash) then 18:00- 21:00 (Launceston)
Wednesday: 18:00-21:00 (Launceston)
Thursday: 11:00-17:00 (Saltash)
Friday: 10:00-18:00 (Launceston) 11:00-17:00 (Saltash)
Job Description
Being a support worker at Aspire Support is sometimes demanding but always hugely rewarding for those with passion, drive and commitment to improve the lives of people with a learning disability.
Purpose of Role
You will support individuals to live a happy and fulfilled life and one that is as independent as possible. You will support them to develop positive relationships and to be an equal and valued member of their local community.
The role has responsibilities that focus on two areas:
Quality
You work effectively to provide individualised, outcome-focused support to the person you support.
You enable them to lead their lives as independently as possible.
Relationships
You work collaboratively, positively and widely with the person, their family, and your Aspire and statutory colleagues,
What you need to bring – Bring fun, laughter, and creativity to the role by supporting individuals to make the most of their time in the community, while helping them build confidence and develop a sense of belonging within it.
Essential:
● Right to work in the UK (we have no remaining visas and are unable to offer a transfer of sponsorship for those who already have sponsorship with their current employer)
● Working with people with autism: 1 year (required)
● Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability and confidence to generate and build effective relationships
● Basic IT literacy and numeracy skills
● Supporting people with dignity and respect
● Day support MUST have a driving license with business insurance and a valid MOT certificate
Desirable:
● Initiative and confidence to make decisions
● Ability to work calmly , efficiently and accurately under pressure
● Knowledge about Care Quality Commission and care standards
● Educated to GCSE level, or equivalent, in Maths and English and/or a Social Care qualification

● Willingness to undertake training and personal development activities as required

Must be a driver due to locations/needs of the people we support
