FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

This role plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of elderly residents in our care home. This role requires a combination of clinical expertise and compassionate care to deliver personalised medical care to residents with varying health conditions. The Nursing Home Nurse works closely with residents, families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care and comfort.

Provide direct medical care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
Carry out routine health assessments and update care plans to reflect any changes in medical conditions.
Assist in the development of personalised care plans for residents, collaborating with doctors, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Communicate with families regarding their loved ones’ health, treatment plans, and any necessary changes in care.
Ensure that all care activities are documented accurately and comply with healthcare regulations.
Participate in emergency care situations, providing first aid and stabilizing residents when needed.

Person Specification

Must be a registered nurse (RN) with a current license to practice.
Previous experience in elderly or long-term care is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with elderly residents and their families.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude toward elderly care.
