FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated Sri Lankan Healthcare Assistant to join our team, providing compassionate support within care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care, fostering positive communication with clients, and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Your Responsibilities include:

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation

• Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs

• Monitor and record client progress, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff

• Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care delivery

• Use IT systems to update records and document care activities accurately

• Drive or accompany clients as required for appointments or outings (driving skills preferred)

Requirement 

• Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with clients and team members

• Experience working in care homes or home care environments is desirable

• Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to individual requirements

• Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

• Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting clients outside the care setting

• Good interpersonal skills, patience, and a caring attitude towards vulnerable individuals
