FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance and guidance to individuals in need. The role involves working closely with children and young people, fostering their development through mentoring, teaching, and supportive engagement. The successful candidate will play a vital part in creating a positive environment that encourages growth, independence, and confidence. Your Responsibilities include:

• Offer personalised mentoring to children and young people, promoting their social and emotional development

• Assist with daily activities, ensuring safety and well-being at all times

• Support behavioural management strategies to foster positive behaviour

• Deliver educational activities and teaching sessions tailored to individual needs

• Build trusting relationships that encourage open communication and confidence

• Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to develop effective support plans

• Organise engaging activities that promote learning, social skills, and independence

• Maintain accurate records of progress and incidents in accordance with organisational policies

Work Schedule

Full-time 40 hours per week or part-time with flexitimearrangements available.

You Will Have

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children or young people is highly desirable

• Knowledge of mentoring techniques and behavioural support strategies is advantageous

• Experience in teaching or delivering educational activities will be beneficial

• Demonstrated ability to work empathetically and patiently within diverse environments

• A genuine passion for supporting individuals to achieve their full potential ,

• Experience with PEG feeding.

• Language: English (required)

• Driving Licence (preferred)

• United Kingdom Right to work (required)
