The Programme Manager role is suited to someone with experience delivering youth development programmes, ideally focused on employability, and who is passionate about supporting young people to succeed in the world of work. As a key frontline member of LTSB’s team, the postholder will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including the Programmes and Employment teams and employer partners, to support young people throughout their journey.

The Programme Manager will play an important role in recruiting young people onto programmes, delivering high quality sessions, providing one-to-one support and creating a positive, inclusive and safe environment in which young people can develop their confidence and skills. LTSB is a close, supportive and innovative organisation, and we want all staff to fulfil their potential while helping young people realise theirs.

Programme Managers are responsible for delivery across specific LTSB hub cities and regions and are required to travel to support delivery in those areas.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Experience delivering youth development or employability programmes, ideally within a charity or community setting

• Experience supporting diverse groups of young people and an understanding of the barriers faced by those from underrepresented backgrounds

• Ability to build positive relationships with young people, referral partners, employers and community organisations

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Confident facilitator with experience delivering group sessions and one-to-one support

• Experience collecting and maintaining accurate records and handling data in line with policies

• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear reports and updates

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and solutions-focused approach

• Understanding of safeguarding principles and health and safety responsibilities when working with young people

• Strong digital skills including confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems and experience using project or application management tools such as Monday.com

Work Schedule

Expected hours: 22.5 per week

You Will Have

• Proven youth development programme delivery within charity/community settings serving diverse groups.

• Strong facilitation skills managing group sessions plus one-to-one support confidently.

• Excellent organisational ability handling multiple tasks, deadlines plus digital tools like Microsoft Office/CRM.

• Commitment to equality, diversity plus social mobility supporting underrepresented young people.
