FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation. The position involves full-time hours with a focus on punctuality, safety, and excellent service delivery.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Safely operate a company van to deliver goods to clients and designated locations within scheduled timeframes
• Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and secure placement during transit
• Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any issues promptly
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or delays
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities
Work Schedule
Full-time on-road hours requiring flexible availability for delivery operations.
You Will Have
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
• Valid PERSON driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• Experience with commercial driving and understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures
• Strong driving skills with the ability to handle heavy lifting when required
• Excellent organisational skills for route planning and time management
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively
• Warehouse experience is advantageous, providing familiarity with loading/unloading procedures
