FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Jewelium Ltd seeks a talented Jewellery Designer with expertise in traditional Asian styles, particularly Pakistani and Indian jewellery, to create authentic, market-leading collections that blend craftsmanship with contemporary appeal. You will design original pieces aligned with brand identity and client needs, selecting premium metals and gemstones while ensuring commercial viability, quality and regulatory compliance. This role offers visa sponsorship and suits creative professionals passionate about cultural heritage in a dynamic East London studio.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Designing and developing original jewellery pieces that reflect brand identity, client briefs and current market trends, with a focus on Pakistani and Indian traditions.
• Creating culturally authentic designs that preserve traditional details while incorporating modern aesthetics for broad appeal.
• Selecting metals, gemstones and materials to meet high standards of quality, durability, cost-effectiveness and visual excellence.
• Collaborating with clients, suppliers and manufacturers to refine prototypes, resolve production issues and ensure timely delivery.
• Ensuring all designs comply with safety regulations, quality benchmarks and production timelines, supporting collection promotion and branding.
Work Schedule
Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in-person at the East London studio, with standard office hours to facilitate design, client meetings and production coordination.
You Will Have
• Strong creative flair balanced with commercial awareness to produce viable, trend-responsive designs.
• Deep knowledge of Asian jewellery traditions, especially Pakistani and Indian styles, with meticulous attention to cultural and aesthetic detail.
• Excellent communication skills (minimum B2 English level) for effective stakeholder collaboration.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Jewellery or Accessories Designer.
• Specialised knowledge of Pakistani and Indian jewellerystyles and techniques.
• Right to work in the UK or eligibility for visa sponsorship (available).
• Portfolio showcasing Asian-inspired designs.
• Experience with production processes and material sourcing.
