FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Care and Support Worker at MHA Victoria Court, you’ll provide person-centred care supporting older residents’ personal, social, emotional, and practical needs through individual care plans, personal care, mobility assistance, social activities, and emergency response while acting as key worker for assigned service users within this Leeds extra care scheme. This 6-month fixed-term role (35 hours/week days/nights) prioritisescandidates within 15 miles ensuring manageable commutes, offering full training for newcomers including QCF Level 2 pathway, within supportive organisation committed to staff wellbeing and resident dignity.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Deliver person-centred care per individual support plans.

• Act as key worker supporting resident wellbeing/settling-in.

• Assist personal care, hygiene, mobility using aids/equipment safely.

• Support housekeeping, laundry, shopping, social activities/outings.

• Maintain accurate records responding to emergencies professionally.

Work Schedule

Fixed term 6 months, 35 hours per week.

Days and nights rotation.

Within 15 miles of Headingley (commute consideration).

You Will Have 

• Patient, kind nature promoting dignity/independence.

• Good listening following care plans/instructions accurately.

• Flexible for days/nights 35-hour weekly commitment.

• Previous care experience desirable (not essential).

Requirements

• Within ~15 miles of Victoria Court, Headingley (preferred).

• Caring approach supporting older people sensitively.

• Team player with clear communication skills.

• Willingness to complete QCF Level 2 (training provided).
