FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Female Live-in Carer with Meloosha Homecare Glasgow South, you will provide one-to-one personal care and daily living support to a female client in her own home, assisting with washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility, medication, meal preparation, household tasks, and companionship while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment. Due to the intimate nature of personal care required, this role is open exclusively to female applicants under Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 (Genuine Occupational Requirement). You’ll offer emotional support, accompany to appointments/community activities, and follow care plans with accurate daily notes, making a meaningful daily difference through compassionate, person-centred homecare.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Deliver personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and safe mobility transfers.

• Support medication administration, meal preparation, and nutritional needs.

• Maintain clean/safe home environments through laundry, cleaning, and household tasks.

• Provide companionship, emotional support, and community activity accompaniment.

• Communicate with care team/family and document care accurately per care plan.

Work Schedule

Full-time live-in rota patterns.

Long-term consistent placements with free accommodation provided.

You Will Have 

• Experience supporting dementia/mobility challenges.

• SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) Health & Social Care qualification.

• Strong communication, patience, and independent working ability.

• Caring, respectful nature prioritising client dignity/privacy.

Requirements

• Previous care experience essential (live-in preferred).

• Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement).

• Right to work in UK and willingness for PVG check.

• Full UK driving licence.
