FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Otford Dental Surgery is currently seeking a friendly and professional Cashier / Customer Service Representative to join the team in Birmingham. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining an organised and welcoming environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with purchases, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring every visitor receives a positive experience. The position provides an opportunity to develop strong communication, organisational, and customer service skills within a fast-paced and professional environment.

Your Responsibilities include:
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with purchases in a courteous manner
• Operate the cash register and process payments via cash, card, or digital methods
• Provide helpful information about available products and services
• Upsell products or services where appropriate to increase sales opportunities
• Maintain organised merchandise displays and ensure the sales area is tidy and welcoming
• Handle customer enquiries in person and over the phone using professional phone etiquette
• Support team members with general organisational and operational tasks
You will have:
• Basic mathematics skills for accurate transaction processing and change handling
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Effective time management to handle tasks during busy periods
• Interest or experience in merchandising and product display
• Ability to upsell products in a professional and customer-friendly manner
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required, as full training will be provided.
Compensation
Hourly pay ranging from £13.00 to £19.00 depending on experience and performance
