Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to clients in various care settings, including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with specialised needs such as dementia or Alzheimer’s. Responsibilities
● Deliver personalised patient care in accordance with care plans, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
● Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
● Administer medication following prescribed schedules and medical terminology guidelines
● Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences
● Support clients with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
● Manage behaviour effectively through behaviour management techniques and case management strategies
● Provide companionship and emotional support to minimise feelings of loneliness or isolation
● Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient progress or concerns
● Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands as needed, ensuring safe transportation
Skills
● Proven experience in senior care, dementia care, or care home environments is highly desirable
● Certification or training in first aid is preferred
● Knowledge of medication administration and medical terminology is essential
● Experience with Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, or assisted living settings is advantageous
● Strong organisational skills for managing care plans and case management responsibilities
● Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
● Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers
● Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual health needs
● Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely to appointments or activities
