Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum (plus performance-related bonuses)

Working Days: Tuesday to Sunday (Monday off)

We are now seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth, manage key accounts, and enhance our sales operations.

The Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities, maintaining client relationships, sourcing vehicles from platforms such as BCA, and maximizing profitability through strategic business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the retail used car sector
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and industry contacts
  • Negotiate sales agreements and contracts to achieve maximum profitability
  • Source vehicles through BCA and other reputable auction platforms, ensuring optimal stock selection
  • Advertise and promote newly acquired vehicles via e-commerce platforms and social media
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy
  • Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and management updates
  • Represent the dealership at relevant trade and networking events
  • Ensure all vehicles pass pre-sales checks before delivery to customers
  • Ensure all finance applications are processed in compliance with FCA regulations and company policies

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in business development, sales management, or a related commercial role
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Full UK or equivalent international driving license
  • Fluency in English (Skilled Worker visa applicants from outside the UK must meet UKVI language requirements)

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of UK used car market dynamics
  • Experience in sourcing and advertising vehicles via online channels
