Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role requires a nurturing personality, patience, and the ability to adapt to various situations.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
- Document daily activities and any changes in client behaviour or health status.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a strong sense of empathy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
