FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Our fast-growing, fast-paced dental business planning organisation is looking to recruit an Accounting Technician with proven experience using Xero accounting software.
The ideal candidate will be a thoroughly experienced Accounting Technician and/or part-qualified accountant, who is able to work at pace with accuracy. As a key member of our finance function, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining accurate records, producing essential financial information, and supporting our team in delivering value to businesses across the dental industry.
Responsibilities:
- Use of Xero accounting software to maintain ledgers, process monthly journals, and manage bank account reconciliations across numerous client accounts.
- Perform accurate data entry within Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare and review financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure all bookkeeping practices comply with relevant accounting principles and standards.
- Liaise with clients to gather financial data, resolve queries, and ensure records are up to date.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance department, with a strong background in bookkeeping and data entry.
- Minimum qualification – AAT Level 4.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Sound understanding of financial statements and accounting principles/standards.
- Proven experience using Xero accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to take ownership of their work, learn and be a responsible team member.
- Deadline oriented, ability to act quickly to changing circumstances.
