FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Peace Staffing Services Ltd is currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants, Mental Health Support Workers, Care Assistants, and Support Workers to join our growing temporary staffing team covering Peterborough, Cambridge, Huntingdon, and surrounding areas.

We provide flexible agency shifts across a variety of healthcare settings including:

• Mental health units
• Care homes
• Supported living services
• Residential settings
• Hospital environments

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting service users with daily living activities
• Providing person-centred care and emotional support
• Assisting with mobility and personal care where required
• Maintaining accurate records and following care plans
• Promoting safeguarding, dignity, and independence
• Working professionally within healthcare teams and following organisational policies

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months healthcare or support work experience preferred
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Caring, professional, and reliable attitude
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and last-minute shifts where required
• Right to work in the UK

Important Work Status Information:

Applicants must clearly disclose any work restrictions before onboarding.

This includes applicants who:

• Are on Skilled Worker sponsorship visas
• Are students limited to 20 hours during term time
• Have secondary employment restrictions
• Have limited working availability

Applicants are responsible for ensuring they are legally permitted to undertake agency work in the UK.

Travel Requirements:

Applicants must be willing and able to travel independently to shifts across Peterborough, Cambridge, Huntingdon, and surrounding areas. Staff should be prepared to work at different locations depending on operational requirements and shift availability.

Driving is highly preferable due to the nature of agency work and varying shift locations. However, non-drivers are still welcome to apply if they can reliably travel to assigned shifts, including early, late, night, and weekend shifts where public transport may be limited.

Enhanced DBS Requirement:

Applicants with a current Enhanced DBS and DBS Update Service are highly preferred.

Applicants without a current Enhanced DBS may still apply. Successful candidates may be required to complete an Enhanced DBS application through our compliance provider prior to commencing work. DBS processing fees may be payable by the applicant where applicable.
