Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives, working within a supportive and professional environment. The role requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a caring attitude to ensure residents’ needs are met with dignity and respect.

Duties

• Assisting residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Supporting the development and implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
• Providing companionship and emotional support to residents and clients
• Assisting with medication administration as per training and guidelines
• Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
• Driving or accompanying residents to appointments or outings as required
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents at all times
• Communicating effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure consistent care delivery

Experience

• Prior experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
• Good IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of residents or clients
• Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
