FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in their own homes. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Monitor and record client health information, reporting any changes to office staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the clients home.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

Skills

• Proficient in English with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
• A valid driving licence is required for this position and for transporting clients when necessary.
