FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in care homes and home care settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring support with daily activities. The role requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a caring attitude. Applicants should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support

• Supporting individuals with daily activities including meal preparation and medication reminders

• Implementing and updating personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals

• Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment

• Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in the individual’s condition

• Assisting with light domestic duties to ensure a clean and safe environment

• Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care

• Driving to various locations for home care visits when required, ensuring timely attendance

Work Schedule

Full-time flexible shifts across care homes and community settings.

You Will Have

• Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is highly desirable

• Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs

• Good IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and updating electronic records

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues

• Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations

• Experience in delivering person-centred care that respects dignity and independence.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence required.

• Ability to reliably commute/relocate within Scotland.
