STEM Recruitment is offering a fantastic opportunity for an MechanicallyBiased Maintenance Engineer to join a highly regarded client in the Scottish Borders.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring production lines run efficiently with minimal downtime. Your expertise in fault diagnosis and hands-on maintenance mostly mechanical, or both will be key to keeping operations smooth.

You’ll also take part in planned preventative maintenance and contribute to process improvement projects aimed at boosting overall productivity and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Performing reactive/planned mechanical maintenance across production equipment.

• Diagnosing faults rapidly restoring operational efficiency within manufacturing environment.

• Executing preventative maintenance schedules plus contributing to productivity projects.

• Collaborating with production teams maintaining seamless manufacturing operations.

Work Schedule

4 on/4 off rotational shifts covering days/nights with extended break periods.

You Will Have

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical bias or be multi-skilled, with proven experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment. This role operates on a 4 on, 4 off rotational shift pattern, covering both day and night shifts, with extra large breaks every couple of months.
