The Digital Workplace Data Intelligence team, within the Technology organisation at American Express, aims to deliver the best digital colleague experience through Data and AI. We work with stakeholders across American Express to enable more personalised and predictive experiences for our colleagues as well as valuable insights for right time decisioning.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Managing data quality, completeness and protection validation across complex datasets.
• Designing/optimizing SQL queries extracting insights from large enterprise data sources.
• Defining Organized Data Layer (ODL) requirements, business logic and transformation rules.
• Collaborating cross-functionally enabling self-service BI solutions and data governance.

Hybrid model balancing office collaboration with flexible remote working arrangements.
You Will Have
• Bachelor’s degree (Data Science/Computer Science/Statistics) with proven analytics experience.
• Advanced SQL proficiency plus cloud platform expertise (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Data modelling/ETL knowledge plus BI visualization (Tableau/Power BI) capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder communication translating technical insights into business recommendations.
Requirements
• Manage and ensure the quality, completeness, and protection validation of enterprise data.
• Design, write, and optimize data queries to extract and manipulate large, complex data sets.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable, self-service data and business intelligence solutions.
• Define and document Organized Data Layer (ODL) requirements, business logic, and transformation rules.
• Maintain data quality standards and governance practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Work within a cloud-based environment to support scalable data integration and transformation processes.
• Partner with stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making through accessible, trusted insights.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Digital Workplace data and AI landscape, supporting the development of new data products and AI-driven capabilities.
