FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Baker Bellfield seeks a dedicated Design Engineer to develop mechanical/system designs for rail, airport and commercial interior components using SolidWorks. This role involves detailed design work, analysis, manufacturing feasibility assessment and collaboration across sectors to deliver projects meeting industry standards and safety regulations.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Developing detailed system/component designs using SolidWorks CAD software.

• Conducting design analysis to identify flaws and implementing effective solutions.

• Ensuring manufacturing feasibility, quality standards compliance and safety regulations.

• Creating technical documentation including work instructions and engineering validation documents.

Work Schedule

Full-time permanent contract starting 01/05/2026.

You Will Have

• Proven mechanical/system design experience within engineering environment.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and root cause analysis capability.

• Strong problem-solving skills and manufacturing processes understanding.

Requirements

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and optimise product performance.

• Hands-on programming experience and industrial manufacturing equipment knowledge.
