FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Teen Focus Support Worker in Woolwich, you’ll empower young people transitioning to adulthood through supported living/community settings, teaching life skills (budgeting, cooking, routines), guiding education/employment pathways, managing behaviours, supporting emotional wellbeing, facilitating social activities, attending appointments, and collaborating with families/professionals while maintaining safeguarding records.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Develop independence/life skills: budgeting, cooking, daily routines.
• Guide education/training/employment pathways for young people.
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies.
• Support emotional wellbeing + build trusting relationships.
• Facilitate community/social/recreational activities.
Work Schedule
30 hours per week full/part-time flexibility.
London SE18 supported living/community environments.
You Will Have
• Youth/supported living/youth services experience (desirable).
• Understanding young adult transition challenges.
• Behaviour management strategies in supportive settings.
• Valid UK driving licence (desirable for community work).
Requirements
• Safeguarding practices + independence promotion knowledge.
• Strong communication maintaining professional boundaries.
• Calm professional response to challenging situations.
