FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
As Care Team Leader (Female) at Chestnut Court Care Home, you will lead and support the night team providing residential care to up to 25 residents with dementia and development needs, ensuring professional, compassionate standards during night shifts and early mornings. This leadership role involves guiding residents through nighttime routines and personal care, administering medication, completing paperwork, handling medical emergencies (with on-call manager support), and setting an example in a warm, homely environment. Due to the personal and intimate nature of care required, this position is open to female applicants only under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 (Genuine Occupational Requirement).

Your Responsibilities include:
• Lead and support the night team, supervising care delivery and staff performance.
• Assist residents with nighttime/early morning personal care routines and daily needs.
• Administer medications safely and accurately according to protocols.
• Complete all required documentation, observations, and handover paperwork.
• Take charge of medical emergencies or situations, coordinating with on-call management.
• Model professional, compassionate care standards for the team.
Work Schedule
Full-time: 48 hours per week over 4 night shifts.
Night shifts covering residential care requirements.
You Will Have
• Strong leadership and team supervision capabilities during night shifts.
• Clinical competence in medication administration and emergency response.
• Compassionate approach with excellent documentation standards.
• Experience supporting dementia and development needs residents.
Requirements
• Team management experience: 1 year (required).
• Adult care experience: 3 years (required).
• NVQ 5 in Care (required).
• English language proficiency (required).
• Right to work in the United Kingdom (required).
• Location: New Milton area (required).

• Enhanced DBS checks required.
