FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Cobalt Housing is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join its Finance & Procurement Department and support the delivery of a proactive, accurate, and efficient financial management service.
This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their finance career, further develop their skills, and contribute to a team that plays a vital role in supporting the organisation. Reporting to the Accountant (Management Reporting), you will help maintain the integrity of financial data while providing support to budget holders and stakeholders across the business.
You will also collaborate closely with colleagues across Digital, Corporate Services, and other departments, helping to build a positive, solutions-focused culture.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Maintain accurate financial records including journals and reconciliations
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assist with budget monitoring and financial forecasting
• Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements
• Provide finance support to Digital and Corporate Services teams
• Respond to financial queries from internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Support continuous improvement and contribute to a collaborative team environment
