Summary
We are seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. This paid internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop essential data analysis skills while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will assist in analysing complex data sets, creating visualisations, and supporting project management activities. A strong interest in data-driven decision making and proficiency with relevant tools are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analysing large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and VBA.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI.
• Support the design and optimisation of databases with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and database design principles.
• Contribute to project management tasks aligned with the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
• Perform business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Create detailed documentation and visual representations of data workflows using Visio.
• Collaborate with team members on analysis projects, ensuring timely delivery of insights.
• Assist in developing scripts using Bash (Unix shell) for data processing tasks.

Experience

• Currently enrolled in a degree programme related to Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science or similar.
• Demonstrable experience with data analysis tools such as R, Python, Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with SQL databases including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Basic understanding of SDLC processes and project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of database design principles and business analysis techniques.
• Exposure to VBA scripting or Bash (Unix shell) scripting is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
