The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic AI & Data Science Intern to join our team for an 8–12 week placement, with the possibility of longer-term opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about AI and data, enjoys experimenting with new tools and technologies, and is comfortable taking ownership of small projects. You will gain hands-on experience working on real business challenges while learning from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

We welcome applicants aged 17+, whether you are pursuing formal education or are self-taught, provided you can demonstrate genuine interest and enthusiasm for AI and data.

Due to the collaborative and office-based nature of the role, candidates who can reasonably commute to Tunbridge Wells may be prioritised.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and testing AI-driven solutions and data workflows
• Support small internal AI or automation projects from concept through to implementation
• Conduct research into emerging AI tools, techniques, and industry trends
• Help analyse, quality assure, and interpret data to support business decision-making
• Experiment with prompt engineering, model testing, and workflow optimisation
• Document findings, processes, and recommendations clearly
• Collaborate with team members while managing assigned tasks independently

Essential Qualities

• Genuine enthusiasm for AI, data science, and emerging technologies
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment and learn
• Ability to work independently and manage small projects without close supervision
• Strong problem-solving mindset
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach to new challenges

Technical Interest or Experience (any of the following is beneficial but not required)

• Experience using AI tools or platforms (e.g., LLMs, automation tools, data tools, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Familiarity with data analysis or visualisation tools
• Familiarity with traditional machine learning concepts or libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)
• Experience working with datasets, APIs, or automation workflows
• Familiarity with building agentic applications (using frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, etc.)
• Personal projects, coursework, or portfolios demonstrating AI or data interest

Eligibility

• Open to applicants aged 17+.
• This role is particularly suited to individuals at the early stages of their career.
• Degree or formal qualifications are beneficial but are not required
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and engagement with AI or data through projects, coursework, or independent learning
