Seven nights of clinical impact, followed by twenty-one nights that are entirely yours – how would you spend them?
Join us at Medivet Thurmaston 24-Hour Hospital, our fully equipped site that opened in April 2024. You’ll be working with the very best: a sparkling new ultrasound machine, orthopaedic kit, digital and dental X-ray suites, endoscopy, a tonometer, and all the tools you’d expect in a modern ECC hospital.
We’re looking for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to work a 7-on / 21-off rota – a brilliant pattern for someone seeking predictable part-time hours, ample time between blocks, or a job that supports travel and adventure. Spend three weeks exploring new countries, taking extended trips, or focusing on personal goals… all while maintaining a stable, rewarding ECC career.
This is a sole-charge night role, giving you exposure to a wide range of emergency and critical care cases. You’ll need strong all-round surgical and medical skills, and in return you’ll gain autonomy, clinical satisfaction, and the chance to make a meaningful impact when it matters most.

You’re a qualified MRCVS with a passion for clinical excellence and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you and has strong ECC experience.
Typically, in this role, you’ll:
● Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
● Develop tailored treatment plans with clients
● Work collaboratively within a supportive team
● Share your skills and support our Medivet communities’ development
