Quinn Clinics is an established, doctor-led medical aesthetics and skin clinic in Bristol. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our growing clinical team.
This is a varied role combining hands-on clinical support, minor procedure/theatre assistance and patient coordination. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, is exceptionally organised and takes pride in delivering a high standard of care and service.
The Role
Working alongside our doctors, nurses, therapists and patient experience team, you will help ensure our patients receive a smooth, professional and welcoming experience throughout their journey with us.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Assisting clinicians during treatments and minor procedures
● Preparing clinical and procedure rooms before and after treatments
● Supporting our minor operations/theatre lists
● Chaperoning patients where required
● Supporting infection prevention and control procedures
● Cleaning, preparing and checking clinical equipment
● Monitoring and replenishing clinical stock and consumables
● Ensuring clinical areas remain organised, safe and ready for use
● Supporting clinical photography and documentation
● Helping coordinate patients before and after procedures
● Following up with patients where appropriate
● Supporting appointment and treatment coordination
● Liaising with clinicians and the wider team to ensure excellent continuity of care
● Maintaining accurate records and following clinic policies and procedures
● Supporting general clinical administration and day-to-day clinic operations
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
● Caring, approachable and confident with patients
● Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
● Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
● Proactive and able to see what needs doing without always being asked
● Confident communicating with patients both in person and over the telephone
● Professional, discreet and reliable
● Comfortable using computer-based patient and booking systems
● A strong team player who is also able to work independently
Previous experience as an HCA, clinical assistant, theatre assistant or patient coordinator would be particularly valuable.
Experience within aesthetics, dermatology, plastics, private healthcare or a surgical environment would be an advantage, although appropriate training can be provided for the right candidate.
