Work location:Pudsey

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Hours: 30 hrs/wk (full-time) or 15–20 hrs/wk (part-time) | Sunday fixed, weekdays flexible

WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

This isn’t a typical care job. You’ll be working one-to-one with Neel as part of a professionally structured programme that has run successfully for over 13 years. A Consultant, Occupational Therapist, and Personal Trainer support the programme bi-weekly — so you’ll always have expert guidance. The team genuinely enjoy coming to work.

WHO YOU’LL BE SUPPORTING

Neel is an active, routine-loving 19-year-old with autism, severe learning disabilities, and Verbal and Motor Dyspraxia. Despite significant challenges, he has made remarkable progress — he now communicates around 300 words using Talk tools and a phone app. His days involve daily runs, gym, swimming, cycling, farm visits, and community activities.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

  • Morning: join Neel for his daily run or exercise routine
  • Daytime: community outings — farm visits, swimming, cycling, gym sessions
  • Sessions: implement structured ABA and therapy programmes (fully trained by exiting and professionals from Skybound Therapies)
  • Throughout: brief progress notes and supporting Neel’s visual timetable and communication

THE SUPPORT YOU’LL RECEIVE

  • Full ABA and therapy training provided from day one
  • Bi-weekly sessions with a Skybound Therapies Consultant who oversees the whole programme
  • Bi-weekly Occupational Therapist and regular Personal Trainer visits
  • Three times per year – training workshop in Pembrokshire
  • A close-knit team of two experienced support workers to work alongside

HOURS & SCHEDULE

Full-Time (30 hrs/wk): Sunday 11am–6pm is fixed. Weekday hours agreed around your availability — we build the rota around you. Saturdays off.

Part-Time (15–20 hrs/wk): Sunday 11am–6pm fixed, plus agreed weekday sessions to suit you.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Warm, patient, and motivated to support someone with autism
  • Physically active — you’ll be running, cycling, and swimming alongside Neel
  • Reliable and consistent — routine matters enormously to Neel
  • Positive team player

Experience in SEN, ABA, or support work is a bonus — not a requirement. A UK driving licence is helpful but not essential.
