Summary
Deducta is a fast-growing startup serving some of the world’s largest and most recognizable companies. We are well funded and actively solving the most pressing business challenges in the modern enterprise.
We are looking for a Head of Product to turn the founders’ product vision into reality and lead the team that delivers it. You will pressure-test and synthesise the founders’ direction into a clear roadmap, keep priorities aligned to it, and drive work from idea to customer-ready release without losing context or momentum. You will sit at the centre of product, design, and engineering. You will set direction, lead the team, and make sure what ships reflects how customers actually use the platform.
About Deducta
Deducta is a data intelligence platform for global enterprises. We deliver unprecedented clarity into mission-critical data for the world’s largest and most complex enterprises, starting with spend data. We are the leading edge for major business transformations. Our partners use Deducta to deliver results that matter, orders of magnitude faster.
The Role
As Head of Product, you will turn the founders’ product vision into reality, pressure-testing and synthesising their thinking into a clear roadmap and leading the team to deliver it. Reporting directly to the founders, you will keep the roadmap and priorities aligned to that vision, run early alignment across product, design, and engineering, and make scope, sequencing, ownership, risk, and delivery status visible to the whole team. In short: set the direction, build and lead the team, herd the cats, and get things done.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving environment. You will need the product judgment to tell a real user need from an overbuilt solution, the technical fluency to go deep with engineers on architecture and feasibility, the discipline to impose structure without waiting for perfect inputs, and the leadership to raise the bar of a growing product team.
What you will do:
- Own and lead the product vision, translating the founders’ direction into a clear view of what the product needs to do and a roadmap the team can align to
- Build, manage, and grow the product team, raising the bar and setting the operating rhythm as the company scales
- Shape priorities into bounded work: own the scope and definition of the smallest useful first release, decide what is out of scope, and drive product, design, and engineering alignment before build.
- Own the delivery operating system: make ownership, sequencing, and the definition of “done” explicit, keep Linear reflecting reality, and surface risk and slippage in time to act
- Keep the team close to customers, routing support questions, implementation friction, and user feedback into what gets built, and coordinating release readiness
- Work closely with engineers to understand dependencies and trade-offs, collaboratively turning ambiguity into clear, buildable requirements rather than administering tickets.
Success in this role means:
- Meaningful work moves from priority to customer-ready release on a dependable cadence, not through firefighting
- Scope creep is caught before significant design or engineering effort is spent, and work reaches engineering with fewer open questions
- The product team is levelling up, and anyone can see delivery reality in Linear without reconstructing it through meetings
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a product leader with strong product judgment, genuine technical fluency, and the ability to build and lead a team. You will have several years in product roles at top-tier technology companies, followed by hands-on experience in a startup environment, enough to both set product direction and get it built. This role is a significant step up in scope for our product function, and you will lead it.
You might be the right fit if you have:
- Strong product judgment: you can tell a real user need from a solution proposal, a first release, and an overbuilt version of the same idea
- Real technical fluency: credible with engineers on architecture, dependencies, data constraints, and trade-offs, without necessarily being an engineer
- People leadership: you have built, managed, and grown product teams
- High-agency program management: you create clarity where none exists, turn messy conversation into decisions, risks, and owners, and follow through without a pre-existing process
- Customer empathy: you treat the quality of a feature as inseparable from what a customer can actually do with it
- Nice to have: fluency with Linear or a similar tool, a top MBA, and/or experience with AI-native, data-heavy, analytics, or enterprise workflow products
You might be the right fit if you have:
- You embrace the principles of freedom and responsibility, and are comfortable taking calculated risks
- You thrive under ambiguity with high levels of ownership
- You demonstrate exceptional hospitality to prospects, clients, and teammates as a default
- You value candour and feedback, and deliver it thoughtfully and thoroughly
- You are genuinely excited by the possibilities of applied AI and the opportunity to build a high-performing team
As an early team member, you will help shape our culture, our processes, and our trajectory. We are growing quickly, and this role will evolve with us. You will be part of a team of exceptional people building something category-defining.
