About Windrush Care

Windrush Care is an independent domiciliary care provider supporting clients in their own homes throughout Gloucestershire.

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and reliable Senior Home Carer to join our growing team and provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional who is already working in the UK under a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) and is looking to transfer their sponsorship to Windrush Care.

The Sponsorship Pathway

This role is specifically aimed at candidates who:

· Are currently sponsored under a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) in the UK.

· Are currently working and fulfilling their full contractual obligations with their existing sponsor.

· Are looking to change their sponsorship to Windrush Care.

· Are able to undertake secondary employment of up to 20 hours per week with Windrush Care initially.

· Are willing and able to work with Windrush Care for approximately 4–8 weeks in a secondary employment capacity before full sponsorship is provided, subject to satisfactory performance, reliability and completion of our required checks.

· Are able to meet all relevant requirements for a future Skilled Worker sponsorship application.

Please note: Candidates must be able to legally undertake the initial secondary employment arrangement alongside their existing sponsored employment. Windrush Care cannot offer sponsorship immediately upon appointment.

About the Role

As a Senior Home Carer, you will provide person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes, helping them to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Providing high-quality personal care and practical support.

· Supporting clients with daily living activities.

· Assisting with medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures.

· Supporting clients with mobility and transfers where required.

· Preparing meals and supporting with household tasks where appropriate.

· Building positive and professional relationships with clients and their families.

· Recognising and reporting changes in a client’s health, wellbeing or circumstances.

· Maintaining accurate and timely care records.

· Following individual care plans, risk assessments and company policies.

· Promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect.

· Supporting and providing guidance to other care staff where appropriate.

· Acting as a positive role model and maintaining high professional standards.

· Escalating safeguarding, health and safety or care concerns appropriately.

Essential Requirements

Applicants MUST:

· Currently reside in Gloucestershire.

· Hold a full UK driving licence.

· Have reliable access to a vehicle for work purposes.

· Have previous experience working in domiciliary care or a similar care environment.

· Currently hold a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) and be working within the terms of their current sponsorship.

· Be able to undertake 20 hours per week of secondary employment with Windrush Care initially.

· Be committed to completing the initial 4–8-week secondary employment period before consideration for full sponsorship.

· Demonstrate reliability, professionalism and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care.

· Have good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Be able to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider care team.

What We Offer

· 37.5 hours per week once fully sponsored.

· £14.15 per hour Monday–Friday.

Important Sponsorship Information

This vacancy is intended for candidates who are already legally working in the UK under an existing CoS and are looking to change sponsor.

Candidates must be able to maintain their existing contractual obligations while undertaking permitted secondary employment with Windrush Care during the initial 4–8-week assessment period.

Windrush Care will not provide full sponsorship until the initial period has been successfully completed and all required checks and eligibility requirements have been satisfied.
