What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Gathering and documenting data requirements from business stakeholders
• Analysing data quality issues and recommending improvements to data pipelines
• Collaborating with data engineers and analytics teams to align technical solutions with business needs
• Creating clear requirements documentation using tools such as UML and BPMN
• Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to understand data challenges and opportunities
• Supporting the validation and testing of data solutions
• Contributing to the optimisation of data workflows and processes

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• Experience in data requirements gathering and analysis
• Working knowledge of data pipelines, data quality frameworks and their business impact
• Familiarity with data tools and platforms such as Power BI, SQL, or similar analytics environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to bridge business and technical language effectively
• Experience documenting requirements using standard methodologies

Nice-to-have experience could include knowledge of Azure, AWS or GCP cloud environments, familiarity with APIs and microservices architecture, or exposure to SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC or RISE).
