The Role
As an Aesthetic Practitioner, you will provide consultations and a range of advanced aesthetic and skin treatments tailored to individual client needs. You will be responsible for ensuring that every client receives a professional experience from their initial consultation through to treatment and aftercare. The successful candidate will work within their qualifications, training, competence and authorised scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct professional and thorough client consultations.
- Assess client suitability, skin concerns, medical history and contraindications.
- Develop personalised treatment plans and treatment programmes.
- Deliver aesthetic and advanced skin treatments safely and professionally.
- Provide clear pre-treatment and aftercare advice.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records and treatment documentation.
- Follow all clinic procedures relating to hygiene, infection prevention, health and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional treatment environment.
- Monitor client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Recognise when a treatment is unsuitable and refer or escalate where appropriate.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and provide outstanding customer service.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of treatments, products and industry developments.
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing professional development.
- Support the clinic’s reputation and contribute positively to its growth
Treatments
Depending on qualifications and experience, the role may include:
- Advanced facials
- Skin rejuvenation treatments
- Body Sculpting treatments
- Chemical peels
- Microneedling
- Hair Loss Treatments
- Advanced skin treatments
- LED/light-based treatments
- Laser treatments, where appropriately qualified
- Other non-surgical aesthetic treatments
Practitioners with appropriate advanced injectable qualifications and experience may also be considered for dermal filler and/or botulinum toxin treatments, subject to appropriate prescribing arrangements, clinical governance, insurance and applicable UK requirements.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant Level 4/5/6 or higher qualifications in advanced aesthetics/skin treatments.
- Appropriate treatment-specific qualifications for the treatments they perform.
- Previous experience working as an aesthetic practitioner, advanced beauty therapist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of consultations, contraindications, skin types and aftercare.
- Excellent understanding of hygiene, infection prevention and client safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, friendly and confident manner.
- A genuine passion for aesthetics and delivering outstanding client results.
Preferred / Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), General Dental Council (GDC) or Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Level 5/6 advanced aesthetics qualification.
- Level 7 Clinical Aesthetic Injectable qualification.
- Experience with dermal fillers.
- Experience with botulinum toxin treatments.
- Laser/IPL qualifications and experience.
- Experience working within a medical aesthetics or clinical environment.
- Membership of a recognised professional body/register.
- Strong skincare product knowledge.
- Experience building and retaining a loyal client base

Scope of Practice
Client safety is our priority.
Practitioners will only perform treatments for which they have the appropriate qualifications, training, competence and insurance. Treatment responsibilities will be agreed with the clinic based on the practitioner’s individual qualifications and experience.
Applicants who are qualified in advanced skin treatments but are still developing their experience in other areas of aesthetics are also encouraged to apply.
