Salary: £90 – 100 per day

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing compassionate care and support to adults in supported living, fostering their independence, development, and well-being. Your enthusiasm and person-centred approach will help create a positive environment where the people we support feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised support tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring their safety, dignity, and emotional well-being at all times
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and recreational pursuits to promote independence
  • Support engagement in activities that encourage skill-building, community involvement, and social interaction
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to build confidence and resilience
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals (social workers, healthcare providers) to develop and review support/care plans
  • Support individuals during outings, appointments, and community activities to ensure safety and enjoyment
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress notes, and any incidents or concerns in line with CQC requirements

Experience

  • Prior experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or physical disabilities in a caregiving setting is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to support and motivate individuals to build independence
  • Knowledge of person-centred care principles and best practices in supporting adults’ needs
  • Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding adults is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with the people we support and their families
  • Enhanced DBS check required
