About the Role

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of processing of expenditure and general financial duties across the Hillcrest Group.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the purchase ledgers for group companies including processing invoices within document management system.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and control accounts.
  • Process twice monthly supplier payments and resolve any disputes with suppliers as required.
  • Process purchase orders in line with procedures.
  • Support the Finance Assistant (Cashbook) as and when required.
  • Complete data analysis and review as required by the business to allow details expenditure.
  • Support and assist with journals and data for the production of monthly management accounts.

Customer and Partnership Working:

The Finance Assistant will maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Liaise with outside bodies including but not limited to: suppliers and contractors, utility companies and external auditors.
  • Liaise with internal customers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all areas of expenditure across the group.

About You

You will:

  • Hold a qualification equivalent to a minimum of Level 5 of the SCQF Framework
  • Have proven previous accountancy and processing experience in a Finance Team.
  • Have Previous experience of accountancy packages and software
  • Have Good communication and numerical skills
  • Be enthusiastic, confident, reliable and highly motivated
