Beechcroft Care Homes is a small group of four care homes situated around the picturesque Cary Park. Our care home group includes a dedicated team committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to support residents with their daily needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents while working within a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Support residents in their daily activities, including mobility, meal assistance, and recreational engagement.
  • Follow care plans meticulously to meet individual health and wellbeing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to promote a positive environment.
  • Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment within the care home.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and reliably.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills and patience.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
